I know that there is a known issue with the F44 fuse blowing. What would be the problem with just putting a 40 amp fuse in place of the 30 amp? I found a site online that sells the 40 amp amber fuse that fits the connector. I find it hard to believe that changing the fuse housing will make that big of a difference. Thoughts [?]

certain circuit (wires) are rated for certain ampere. Some wires can handle over amp, some can't...depends on the wire tolerences built in.

I replaced my blown 30 amp F44 fuse with a 35 amp fuse. I felt better doing this than using a 40 amp fuse with the original wiring, and the A/C fan has been running just fine since I did this a few months ago.

The only trouble is that the 35 amp fuse is difficult to find. Don't ask me where as I bummed a couple for free.

There was a TSB to upgrade the fans and wiring. The problem is that the fans draw just s little too much current on start-up, and over time, that will weaken the fuse. You might check to see what it would cost to buy the parts and DIY.
