I am guessing that the Ford advertising people spent some big money with eebsites. That stupid build your own mustang thread is a sticky in Every stinking forum topic on every site that I go to. I wholeheartedly agree with F*** ford on this one.

What's so bad about Ford?. Except for the annoying advertisements Ford is the only half arse American made motor vehicle that I will ever own.

Heard the news about Chevrolet lately?

Ford has made a huge comeback in the past years though. My dad was staunch against ford ever since he had a piece of crap pinto or something, but he bought a ford escape. Amazingly nice little suv for the price. and chevy, i don't know about now, but my 1999 cavalier went 150k without anything but regular maintenance, and it totaled two cars that rear-ended it, without having to have a dollar in body work done.I'm sure it would have gone to 250 if I wouldn't have crashed it... Love the old chevy's.

Okay. I'll play. Owned 7.3 Ford Powerstroke diesel and ran if for better than ten years towing a 30' Airstream all over the country. Still going strong when I sold it. Needed an alternator and wiring harness during my time.
Now have 2009 Chevy Silverado with big V-8 and 6-speed Allison. Has not hicupped in 51,000 miles and is more comfortable than most 4-door sedans on the road.
Can't knock some of the more recent US stuff. Sure not like the unmitigated junk of the 70's and 80's.
And......ahem.....I have also had several various MB's in the same time periods and I HAVE had problems with them so lets not all get TOO uppity about it fellas. Ha Ha!!

Clearly their plan works, as you guys are talking Ford on a Mercedes forum. Not sayin' anything, just sayin'.

BTW I do like Ford. However if I wanted to talk Ford I'd be on a Ford forum.

I'm sorry, but I cannot see it.

Perhaps it is because I can switch off advertising and have adblocker for Firefox installed.

Pinto.
The last Ford I drove regularly was a pretty solid car, a FCV P71. But a FCV is nothing compared to a Mercedes.

When driving a P71 other motorists gave me lots of respect. Very few would pass me when I was going the posted speed on a freeway.

That P71 is seen in the background behind a chubby little visitor looking to grab some food from the bird feeder:

It's been discussed on here before, but you can Google "Firefox Adblocker" to find what you need.

I don't use Adblocker myself, preferring the extra security of NoScript with Firefox (noscript.net). While not as simple, it affords much more protection & information on what sites are attempting to do.

Below is an example of the other sites that want to load, when I visit BW. And I've seen a LOT worse! BTW - still surfing the web with IE-8 or below, is almost like asking to get hacked
