Interesting results so far. This seems to corroborate a claim which I heard some time ago - that around 60% of all MBs are a form of silver.

I think the silvers look really great, but I wanted something a little different.

As I have said before, while taste is interesting to observe there is little point debating it. In the end the colour is only a small part of the overall enjoyment of this fine car.

Called in to see my MB dealer yesterday, he could tell me all the SLK's he's sold so far have been silver or black. And as far as options go (this is for the 350 only), people are ordering either no options or at least half a dozen or more.

I concur - seems like my Capri Blue is in the minority.
Which is fine with me because the color is great and not alot of people are getting it - so I won't see it around alot~~

For me an Iridium Silver Merc just doesn't turn heads enough because there are sooooooooooooo many of them. Its like every other merc i see is the same colour.

Although it does look nice individually it is the last colour i would have chosen.

Chose Tansanite blue myself - mosttly because it is not silver or black, and I wanted something a bit different.

There are already 2 silver R171s on the business park where I work!!

Spent ages trying to decide between the Grey and Black interior and eventually settled on the black.

The current car has a black leather interior and I have got used to it. Was a close call though and I would have been happy with either colour.

Still a couple of months till the car gets delivered - climbing the walls already

I'm not at all surprised at seeing Silver and Black being the most popular colour choices - I've yet to see an SLK in person, in another colour other than Black or Silver!!

But I'm surprised by how few Tellur/Tellurite/Diamond Silver SLK's there are. I honestly thought that colour would be as popular as the Iridium Silver!! [:I]
