I just purchased a 2011 SL550 (not a CPO) with a little more than 63400 miles on it. I am thinking of getting an extended warranty for it. Can anyone refer me to a reliable warranty company? I got a quote from American Standard Auto Protection, but the price is considerably lower than most of the others I have seen by several thousand dollars and I can't find any information on this company. Not sure if they are a quality company. Anyone know anything about this company? How about MP Mileage Plus? Any assistance you can provide me in this regard would be greatly appreciated!

Same thing here - I called multiple places and ASAP was by far the best deal - they even claim to cover ABC hydraulic struts which is essential for my older R230. But it sounds too good to be true as they even say you can go to MB dealer and they cover everything minus your deductible...I think I am going to do it.

Just received a postcard in the mail yesterday from one of the M-B dealers that's been doing the service on my 2014 212 asking if I wanted to get "valuable information on obtaining vehicle protection" beyond my factory warranty.

All I have to do is call the dealer before the deadline and provide the mileage. Maybe this is something that could be looked into for those who are interested. I know of some who have extended their original warranties for as much as two years although this may not work for a car that's already out of warranty.

OK - did some more research on ASAP, every single review is bad and claims that they only pay partial, deny claims or not at all so that you are stuck with the bill --> not going to even try!

My father in law has been using Endurance for a decade now and they offer convenient monthly payments as well as family discounts...4y/60k with everything covered for around 3k.

I'm in the same boat. I just bought a '14 SL550. It only has 25k on it, and it's a single owner, clean carafax. I'm still hesitant to drive around without warranty, which runs out next month. I've checked many companies, and almost all get negative reviews.
I got a price from the MB dealer in my city, for 7 year (which really means 3 more years) 75k (which in my case means additional 50k) for $3900 plus tax. It's high, but at least I know that I'll get MB parts and Svc.

Does anyone have a better idea?

Thanks,
Richard

If you do a google search about a dealer in the Dallas area they will be at least $1000 less if not more. The $3900 you were quoted is the full list price of the warranty extension.

Had the car been a CPO car it would have 3 years and unlimited mileage during that 3 years.

Actually, the MB dealer (Mercedes-Benz of Nashville) quoted me 4295, and I bargained them down to 3900. Which dealer in Dallas, and is it an MB warranty??
