Re: exhauts tips???? Oh yes, they do!!!

Hi!
If you're looking for chrometips to put on your existing exaust, MB makes them, for the gasoline models. At least here in Norway. Around 30 bucks for a set.
Glenn

Really Glenn? I have no idea MB actually makes them. I thought Schatz is the only one that makes them. Do you have the part # by any chance.....
Dee, i got mine from www.myroadster.net for a lot cheaper, ask for Jerry.

Best advise for exhauts tips, read on

Ok, here is how it goes, auto class is a rip off. The best exaughst tips for the C class is Schatz and you can buy those at www.performanceproducts.com. first they are made for the C class, you dont need welding of any kind, the fit up the current exaughst and angles out so its pointing straight and not downwards. Also another advatage is that the exaughst tips come as a dual pipe and they are big chrome ones, they look real cool. I have a C240 and just put them on it and everyone has been telling me how good they look. But the cool thing is that they have openings at the bottom of them so the air comes out to the bottom and not thru the tips this way your chrome does not get messed up. Call performance products and tell them you heard of a 15% discount and you can get it with shipping all for $120. The only bad thing is you may have to wait about 7 weeks as i did because they come straight from germany. I have been looking for tips for a long time and this is the best product your can buy, good luck

Re: here goes..

Hi again!
They are at least mentioned in the accessoriescatalog for the Sportcoupe, and they should fit as well. Have seen them mounted, but of course the were facing downwards, at least on that 270 cdi. Partnumber isn'n mentioned, but your dealer should find it on the computer(sportcoupe WITHOUT sportpackage!)
Glenn

I agree!

Installed the Schätz tips on my C today, and they look awesome. I also noted that the exhaust-sound changed a little. Now it sounds a little deeper.

Those tips had a perfect fit, it really doesn't look too much 'aftermarket'. I installed them in 20 minutes or so. I highly recommend them!

/DtS

Re: I agree!

Just ordered a set from My Roadster-$119.00. They appear from the pics to be well engineered, and certainly not 'rice ball'

I also got the tips from myroadster.net. Very nice!
I think the one made by MB is single tip for C230K, not for 240/320 (dual tips pointing down).
