I have just gotten a 1981 240D which is a 4 speed and a diesel. I am just getting some project ideas in the future. I am trying to keep this as clean as possible but with an edge. This car is almost completely stock except for repairs. I want an opinion on if I should get a new exhaust or just keep with the factory one but make it more presentable. New or stock? If new any suggestions (no rice, not basic, affordable)

No benefit to replacing or altering the stock exhaust. The only thing that will change is noise, you won't gain any power.

I’m not trying to gain more power because the cars purpose was not to go fast. If I get a new exhaust it’s for sound on revs.

True like stainless or titanium would look the best too.
