I just bought this car and have an annoying problem. When I pull up to a stoplight and car is idling, the climate control fan pulls exhaust fumes into the car and blows them in my face. As soon as I start up again and reach driving speed, I don't smell anything.

I suspect that it is just an exhaust leak, but I wanted to check first if there is some other potential cause. Has anyone else addressed this problem?

Thanks

I would check your exhaust system for any leaks, but I would also check to see if what your smelling coming thru the vents isn't exhaust, but engine "blow by" oil fumes, which is a bit more common in our cars. Take of the air filter cover and check for oil in the air filter housing. If you see a small puddle or stain, it's likely that you're getting blow by under the valve cover.
