 I really like them, that's why I purchased them. I researched the TireRack. It was either the Goodyear F1s or the Michelin PS 2s. The Goodyears were rated number one and the Michelins number two. Specifically I loved the look of the smooth Michelin sidewall and the tread design versus the tread design of the Goodyear F1. We're put almost eight thousand miles on her SLK 350 and the Michelins. Tons of tread left and NO adverse wear, front or rear. We drive our cars for transportation and pleasure. No hard driving, spinning wheels, abuse, etc. I would imagine we'll get at least 20,000 miles (I hope) on those tires. Purchased one set, liked them, no doubt the second time.

There isn't much to do with the SLK to make it look better, it's a stunning car right out of the factory, can't say that for many cars on the road except exotics.

- 19x8.5f 19x10r DCR hockeheims brushed alum with Nitto's NT555
- Piecha Comfort Roof Module
- Brabus lowering springs
- r170 stubby antenna painted
- painted side markers
- Sylvania indicator bulbs both front and rear
- 15% 3M tint
- AMG rearlip spoiler
- AMG aerowings
- Brushed Alum MB door pins
- Green filters
- Supersprint exhaust (quad tips)

There might be some other little things I've missed, there isn't a whole lot to do with the SLK, it come pefect IMO.

things I might do in the future, if I get bored with it.

- swap out the wood trim for carbon fiber ones. (who wants my wood trim?)
- swap out the steering wheel for a more sportier one, CF maybe?
- ECU reflashed when warranty is over
- Custom build exhaust, sports cats, x-pipe, some reason I think it's going to be too loud, the only reason that's keeping me from doing it.
- Kleemann or Supersprint headers.
- Supercharger but not at the current price, I could get a brand new car with what they are trying to charge.

Interesting, I thought my 2007 SLK350 AMG package comes with the rear fender flares but did not and I was going to ask the dealer for them. Do you think they don't look as good? I think it looks good at the rear angle but might look out of place at another angle since it is just a stick on and does not look like it's part of the body. Why did you remove it?

Could any of you who've changed to the R170 antenna comment on it.

Do you notice any reduced performance in either the radio (caring less about this) or the key fob (caring more about this)?

After reading the owner's manual it seems the primary reason the antenna is so long has to do with key fob performance.

Does the R170 antenna screw into the standard base or to you have to change it?

Also, is MB Part # 170-820-06-75 correct for the stubby SLK antenna as seen here?

Bought it from Mbenzl for about $350. It is a simple plug and play swap. 10-15 min DIY job. Note: it does not come with the extra air filter (normally included with the DCC system). However, it gives it a better look IMO.

so i guess i can take it to my mb dealer and ask for it? how would it be a plug and play when the DCC has digital readouts of the temp.?

and it would be great if you can provide me with a pic of your dcc in your interior.

Well, I somewhat doubt the dealer would do it. They would probably decline in fear of error codes or other faults. I don't think they'll want that liability. I have had mine installed for about a year or so. I've never had problems. Also, I had my car serviced several times and no one ever mentioned any issues/error codes.

So, give it a shot. It does look a lot better and you'll spend less time adjusting the tempature/fan speed. I'll take a pic in a sec. You'll see the ash tray/compartment difference too.
