Be careful with what you end up. Personally, I would only get the original units made by Hella and NOT the reproduction ones, usually made in the far east. The price is a lot lower, but so is the quality.
Hellas run about $400 and you can get them brand new in the box from Performance Products in Van Nuys (Los Angeles area), CA.
Also check e-bay for a good set of used ones; you could potentially save a few bucks, but they won't be as nice as the brand new units.

Good deal. I, too, have the Ebay lights. Hopefully, if enough of us highly pleased "Ebay lights" guys speak up, we can squash this "must be Bosch" shannanigans.

Everyone obviously doesn't like the same thing. Some have reasons why they picked a certain product over another, but like stated above there isn't a "gold" standard that you have to pick.

I have two sets of Euro's (pair of Depos and pair of Hellas). Both sets are used and from eBay ($130/shipped for the Depos and ~$250/shipped for the Hellas).

Comparing both sets:
The construction of the "innards" of Hella is greater to that of the Depo (everything in the Depos seems to be loose and not rigid). The metal reflectors seem to be of thicker gauge metal on the Hellas. The wiring in the Hellas is thicker than that of the Depos, its connections (where the wiring meets with the housing and is soldered to the pins) and connectors have a stronger "hold". Both units have vacuum and manual adjusts for the main beam and fog lamps (though I'm not sure if the Depo's vacuum diaphram is working). Both units have the appropriate mounting tabs and such for European headlamp wipers.

I see it as this:
Later style NorthAmerican->Ealry style NorthAmerican (its ahead of the later style because you can replace the sealed main beam with an H4 unit main beam)->Depo/TYC/other makes (good if don't really want to drop some major coin on a new Bosch/Hella set, prefer to see at night, and don't favor the NorthAmerican light styles)->Hella (I like the Hella over the Bosch do to the simple fact that they have darker look to them when not ON)->Bosch(Some say the Bosch units are of better quality then that of Hellas).

Either way you cut it: W201 European headlamps are better than W201 NorthAmerican headlamps.
