For those of you farmilliar with this procedure of titling a car in the US after sending from Europe, a few questions popping up in my head im not sure of...Please read on. When bringing a car into the USA, and the car is going to be driven and titled here, what company(s) are allowed to convert odometers from KM/hr to Miles/hr? Is there a registered certificate usually then given w/ the car proving the legitamacy of actual miles. Are you wary of these conversion companies rolling back miles or would buying a car from Europe Intimidate you with fears of odometer fraud? The cars im mainly referring to in this case are that of cars that have the old style non-digital odometers typically found on MB dating pre-1995. Also, if a seller did not posess such documentation of odometer conversion, how would you find out of the cars path in where this conversion was done when it entered the country to be titled here? Say if a car was a 1993 w/ only 50k miles on it among three known owners, one being from europe...Is this a potential red flag for you?? Thank you for all facts and opinions..BC
