euro model

Saw you info at mbworld.org.

We are just now importing our 600SEL euro model, which is at an importer in Florida. Our car has a EPA metal sticker in engine compartment, passenger side, but importer having issue with recognizing it as he is processing forms with EPA and DOT.

Did you have similar problems with your euro model. We are frustrated here.

importing a euromodel benz 600SEL

we have found out that importers in U.S. for euro cars like this are really not that friendly, want your money up front, question everything, rude, etc.
it cost $1100, to get our 600SEL here from germany. four weeks through florida customs in Nov/Dec02. now a rude importer referred by the germany seller, needs another two months, and we have provided him now $5000 in customs fees, conversions of lights, etc, and still having problems with EPA/DOT. hopefully it works out. bill&monika
