My son has this car. May be it is 30DD?
what is this code?
I know he said he was getting the code " Oil level too high" and then it would go away.
He checked the oil and it is perfect.
Pl let me know
Thanks

Sounds like error code from bra section of Sears catalog. You sure it's not 30DD?

Witek,

I've just fallen off my office chair laughing.:D

bballfreak,

From what you say, I believe your truck is 30 days BEYOND it's service date.

I know it is kinda funny. My son drives it.
Normally, we work on it ourselves.
I will tell him to bring the vechile back down here
and we can clear the codes and do oil change etc.

Technically you don't 'clear' that particular code you reset it.

Refer to the truck manual on how to do this or undertake a search on the Forum.

You are correct, i meant to say reset it.
I have the module and software and will hook it up next
weekend to reset the service reminder.
Thanks

While you're at it, you might want to perform (or have performed) the regular service on the vehicle as well... being that it's 30 days past standard interval.

Just a thought.

yeah, I plan to.
Flush out the brake fluid, tighten exhaust bolts, oil change, wiper blades, etc.
i did change out the transmission fluid etc. at 90K miles.

- 34 d Error Code on 2002 ML500

I am getting a "- 34 d" Error Code on my 2002 ML500 when I first start the vehicle. Is this some sort of service indicator that means I am 34 days overdue on some type of service (oil change or some major or minor service at the dealer)? The ML continues to run great and I change my own oil, brake pads, plugs, oil and air filters, etc. My ML500 has 87K miles on it.

Prior to asking this question, I did a bunch of searches on error codes on the forum, but the only thing that seemed similar was the "30d" error code posted by bballfreak a few months ago. There was never a definitive answer to what that 30d code might have meant although Loudgoldwing mentioned 30 days past a service interval in his response...

Yes, it was the service reminder which I did reset and now the 30d message is gone.
