Hey guys,
I rebuild engine harnesses. PM me for more details. I also have a site where you can see some of my work.
I'm into w140 MBs but I see that many people with C-class cars experience same disintegrating harness problems. What I do is rerun new wires from original plugs to main connector. All wires are soldered for best possible connection.
I have done quite a few S-class harnesses. Rebuild is around $350 with USPS flat rate shipping. I can ship internationally if you want to pay for shipping.

PM me for more details

MAF and temp sensor connectors are cut open. I epoxy them after and put a clamp on. You can remove the clamp if you want. Once epoxy dries, there is no need for the clamp.
The harness pictured is from S320 inline 6. This harness uses rubber conduit to house wires. I cut it and zip tied it back. It was done to have loom soft and bendable. Some other harnesses use cloth tape to keep wires together. I also use cloth tape on harnesses that call for it.
