I have S320 of year 2000. Only 100,000 kms. At traffic signals when I am holding down the brake, I can feel that there is engine vibration though got new engine mounts from the local dealer last week. Can anyone pls share with me what can be the fault. Thanks.

Do you have a check engine light? A loose emissions hose can rattle the engine.

There is no light as such but have been advised by the authorised dealer to replace the breather pipes, alternator bearing sets, seals etc. So will go to get it all replaced as well as get checked the hose emissions too. Will keep you posted. Many thanks pls.

You may need to change sparkplugs if that hasn't been done. Our 2000 S430 had a slight variation at idle of about 50-100 rpm which was cured by replacing the original plugs. Mercedes calls for a change @100,000 miles or 5 yrs & we were at 10 yrs, although below 60,000 miles. New plugs gave an immediate improvement to very smooth & vibration free idle. Don
