I wrote on this some time ago, but now can't find the thread/posts. What's involved in putting a 617 from a '77 300D auto into a '76 300D auto? Is it a reasonable project or much involved with some problems to solve? Thanks.

Nice effect - how do you do the ripped edges? (If it is a windows thing I don't want to know!)

A 76 300D is a W115. The chassis is too narrow, so the oil filter housing has to be relocated. I *think* that's the only difference, but I'm not familiar with engine swaps.

Your old thread is from an '81 300D, is that the same one you wanted to reference?
