I drove 40 miles to work this morning and as I was turning into the parking lot, I couldn't and realized that the engine had shut down.
I tried restarting it and it would not.

I waited 5 minutes and it started right up but with the Check Engine Light on.

Anyone has any ideas?

I am taking it to the shop to have it hooked up and see what is going on. The car is a 2003 SL500 with 46k miles on.

I have had it for a few weeks and am loving it. It runs great and now am wondering as to what is going on.

Thanks,

Paul

It was the left side coil ( will send the exact part name). The mechanic changed it and it's running like a dream again.

Now I washed it today and also washed the engine.. With degreaser and low pressure water. The car is clean and runs good too. I just brought my son to his basketball practice and it's dark and realized that the speedometer lights and the clock remain ON even after I have turned the car off. What the heck did I do??

I love this car but everytime I touch anything something breaks.

I replaced my Crossfire with this car and the crossfires are a pain I maintain but I have not had these many issues with them

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul
