Hey all,

After getting the SLC running again, it needs engine mounts done before registration. From my reading it doesn't appear to be a 'difficult' job, just fiddly.

Are there any special tools required? Or any tools that make the job easier?

Any tips gladly accepted?

Cheers

Shane

Metric allen sockets, 10mm for 2 main bolts from the bottom

6mm for the 4 bolts holding the mounts to the sub frame (2 per side)

Check... got those. ;)

I mean at the end of the day, there is not that many fasteners that need removing, right? It's just all about shitty access?

Thanks Joe, awesome offer, but the main factor at the moment is time away from family. Beth has her hands rather full at the moment, so need to do it at home so I can be on hand to help if needed.

I'm sure I'll regret turning you down on it...

All the tools are here. will take about 15 mins for the mounts on each side. the dampers are a little more difficult due to the thickness of the bushes, but probably add about 30-45mins if they are stubborn, or access is too difficult. on an RHD 107 the driver side damper is just torture.

Oooohhh, Joe, you are tempting me. And it would be a good chance to blow out the cobwebs! Let me check with the missus and get back to you.
