Just thought Id let you guys know.

I fitted new engine mounts on my SLK320 and it was a big pain but it is do-able. For people that know their way around cars Id rate it 6/10 hardness.

If your not handly with cars stay away from this task for sure, let a mechanic handle it.

The drivers side was much easier than passenger!!

You mean left side was easier
My drivers side ones were a pain (right side) but by using a short spanner bit by bit on the top nut it was OK.

Well, thats good to know seeing that I need to change the motor and transmition mounts too. I guess I'll just eat the 500 dollars at the stealership and leave it for the pros:crybaby2:. Thank God I didn't order the mounts yet.

My drivers side ones were a pain (right side) but by using a short spanner bit by bit on the top nut it was OK.

I see what your saying, I dunno what it was, it was probably because i hit the driver side last and was probably warmed up by then, I didnt drop the rachet wrench once!

I had to take out a couple things out of the way to hit the passenger side from the top, thats why I think it was a longer task.

When you say extended warranty paid, you mean you burned only $90 right? Not bad.

Sorry never thought about it. I got a ton of work to do on my 136,000mi car so Ill do that next time anything is worked on.
