When I take it up to 85 mph it misses really bad. Has slight miss at idle. Runs great in between. Does anybody have an idea of this problem?

It could be any number of things.

If you are cruising at 85, does it miss, or is it when you are giving it acceleration [?]

If it is when accelerating, does it do it if you floor it (when warm) from lower speeds [?]

Actually, it happens anytime I bring it up to 85. I'm thinking that it probably has to do with fuel, as I did a complete tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, but no coil). My guess would be an injector or fule distributor. But I'm no expert, just trying to learn about this beautiful car of mine.

What is more likely and more common is the fuel pump/s and filter.

Check the fuel filter situated underneath in front of the spare wheel well. These quite often get neglected and never changed over the years.

Replace the filter and then try it before looking at the pump/s.

jrblackie,

I agree with Spanners. I had the same type miss with my 380. After I changed the filter, no more miss.

I tried the filter and I still get the same. Do you think it could be the pump?

From your description, it sounds like the pump. The only thing that concirns me is that i would expect it to miss if you floor the accelerator from lower speeds.
