I have an 89 190E 2.6, just got it... The engine runs great, normally when I am idling at a stop light, the oil pressure drops to between 2 and 3 and the engine idles at around 1000, same usually when I park... Occasionally, however I will pull into the driveway, as I stop the engine idles like above, but as soon as I put it in park the oil gauge goes to 3, and the RPMs go to almost 2000.

Is this a problem? Suggestions on repair?

Thanks,

Phil

Sounds familiar. Especially when it is cold.
Shifting to reverse sometimes makes the tires squeal.
