I have two questions that may be related to each other. First is it normal in 100 degree weather for my car to run at just below 100 degrees on the temp gauge. That seems somewhat warm to me but I don't know. My older lexus always stays below that and never varies, whether it's 40 degrees or 100 it doesn't matter. Second, my ac doesn't seem to be very cool when idling. It works alright when driving but doesn't cool near as good as my brothers little ford ranger or my lexus. Can anyone advise?

Mercedes cooling system is not as good as the Japanese car (like Honda, Toyota, etc.) Honda's heat exchange system is much more efficient compared to Mercedes. I notice this in my C36 AMG too. One thing you could try to do is get an aftermarket Temp sensor with lower temperature to send signal for aux fan. Another easy way is to get water wetter to lower the temperature a little bit.
