The engine of my 1996 190 E (automatic transm.) dies within seconds after starting when temp. is low. After driving for several minutes starting again is possible. Unfotunally MB-Dealer wants to make lots of money if engaged. What is wrong?

Check your cold start valve and thermo time switch.Are you sure its 1996?

try the OVP relay. i thought that they stopped 190s in 1993!

OVP(Overvoltage Protection Relay).Its behind the<br> the battery.The only relay w/a red fuse on top.
