Accelerating, sitting at a stoplight, or just running the car while parked used to feel very rough and had more noise than it should.

While knowing that the engine was running great by all accounts (tuned up, no vacuum leaks, great numbers on everything, etc.,) I couldn't figure out what it was.

After doing some research on the forums I realized that it was likely that my motor mounts were likely shot ... they were, the old ones were collapsed and looked torn up.

After replacing them (and the transmission mount - although the old one turned out to look ok) the car is super QUIET and smooth.

Now I just have to fix The Dreaded Vibration issue (I posted in another post).

I'm so close! :)

Yeah it's crazy what a difference new motor mounts make. It's like a brand new car when they're fresh.
