I was looking for a thread where somebody did this once before but any help and advice would be appreciated and perhaps a more recent one that I can update when appropriate would be of help to others in the future..

My 2003 E55 has a hole in one of the cylinders and a machine shop near me has said that it's beyond a repair they would guarantee. I have a donor 2002 ML55 that has been mine for 10 years and I know its history from Day 1 so am happy it's good enough to use as a donor.

What would be the right way to go about it. I have the E55 engine totally stripped and apart from one of the pistons all other parts are usable aside from the block.

From memory the stumbling block will be whether the M113 block will accept the E Class oil pump and also I think I need to use the conrods from the original M113k.

Anything else to be considered before I go for it?

hi buddy I have a similar problem. Currently I have pistons from 55 amg 476km m113.990 to the block m113 5.0 v8 306.
The rest is postponed and fits. The oil pan and pump did not match, so it was necessary to put on the m113 5.0 v8 306km. I do not know if I can drive like this or if the oil pressure is good.
