There was originally no electronic fuel injection for anything similar to M180 engine as found in the 404. The closest would be the M127, which is a M180 base block with mechanical fuel injection, but it was extremely limited in production. Following the M180 where the M108 (carb) and M129 (mech inj), which are extremely similar to the M180 but with strengthened crank/bearings/etc to handle the additional power generated. The M130 (mech inj.) is an overbored version (2.8L) of the M129.

Any electronic fuel injection for a 404 M180 would have to be a custom creation. You could try starting with something like a throttle body injection (TBI) carb from an 80s Chevy or GM vehicle, powered by Megasquirt. Though sizing may be an issue, the M108 is a much smaller volume engine (~130cuin vs 250-350cuin in a V6/V8 Chevy/GM). I have a plan for machining a custom throttle body with 4 injectors driven by Microsquirt to go on a M108, but I haven't had any time to finish rebuilding the engine itself yet.

Holley makes a 2 barrel sniper system with a small bore Rochester base that will bolt right on. Almost bought one but got the propane mixer worked out.
