Having part number would help a lot.
I know Japanese MB model can have unique options.
If you post VIN, I can try to find part number on my EPC.
Welcome to the forum.
Speaking few languages I usually ask how is "hello" in new language, but I doubt I could read it in Japanese.

Dang, not too many members posting in perfect English from other countries turn out to be original citizens there ;)
Coming to parts pricing, for hard to explain reasons US become good supplier of low priced parts for Mercedes.
I have personally send parts from here to Poland and Germany (!)
Seeing the age of the car, I would believe lot of dismantlers have parts for it.
Than 600 wasn't build in big number, was it?

Well I beleive about 8,573 of my model type were built but here in Japan it's an AMG version which believe it or not means for my perticular car AMG did not touch the engine or ECU. It just received body mods (i.e skirts, exhaust, front spoiler). I did not beleive it until I ran the VIN# in Japan and did some research. My w140 also has the rear VIP seat option which I think is awesome.
