HI,

I have been having problem with the ECU of my 320 as this will not allow ignition.

Does any one know if I can buy a second hand used one and format it to be used on my car?

New one is almost the price of my car!:bowdown:

Hi, "formatting" of a new or used ECU cannot be done except via Mercedes. Only Mercedes has the codes required to sync up the new ECU with the car. This to slow down car thieves. Sorry..

Hi and thanks for the heads up! do you know if I will need any other parts renewed after installing the new ECU on my car? I mean do I need to change the chip inside my key, or install a new immobaliser or anything else as the ECU has been changed...

No, other functions shouldn't be impacted. however, have your radio code ready because they will disconnect the battery when swapping the ECU.
