Hi

can anyone advise if the window chip marked T06 on the circuit board In an early 3 plug roof controller
is readily available

the number on it is too small to read without the big round magnifying glass that electronics guys use

the signal from the window limit switch is reaching the chip but going no further stopping the roof working
as it is not recognising the window is down

1993 R129 SL 300 24V

Controller p/no BECKER 820 00 97

much appreciate any help on this one chaps

The part number is BCW30 -- a general purpose PNP transistor that is still available for about 25 cents U.S.

I don't know what that chip is. On one of mine the first number is TI 009XN and the second is TL5561.

If you replace the PNP transistor and still no joy, and the mystery chip is the problem, then I believe you could improvise a workaround from a few basic electronic components.

Hi bob

once again thanks for advice - the numbers on the big chip i have are melted into plastic so very hard to read even with
a magnifying glass - so i will go with your number ,looks like i have too many digits

If find out what that chip is ,i will post identity

cheers bob will change the 2 little ones and hopefully might get the roof to move

all the best al

hi martin

much appreciated i have never come across that on before - will now be able to get one
just in case my guy deems it necessary to replace that as well

when reading that thread seems to me that lots of others have had little joy with bba

i have in the past had two returned from them as "beyond repair" only to be fixed by a local
electronics enthusiast - i think they only like the easy jobs

once again martin and bob terry
many thanks

al

AL,

You are welcome

BBA is garbage for these controllers. On the old ones all they do is memory chip repairs. For deep repairs contact MBCLUSTER or Restoreyourmercedes...Geniuses

MBCluster - Automotive Electronics

Mercedes wiring harness

Victor at Restore your Mercedes has a topcontroller video of a fix..

Here is MBCluster doing a reverse-engineering of it here:

All the best,

Martin
