My e55 seems to be missing some parts from the engine infront of my inlet manifold here is a picture of mine, the car runs fine I have no lights on the dash what do they do?

Here is a picture of one with the bits in place notice the plastic thing infront of the inlet manifold with the 2 circle thing either side of it?

It's seems to be missing everything fom this diagram? What is it all, like I said it doesn't seem to effect the running of the car?

Air pump, needed in some markets for emissions.

But all the m113 engines in the uk where I live have them bits but I don't?

Previous owner probably removed it when one of the components failed. Either that, or check your VIN if maybe it was originally a south Africa or other market car.
