I just got the car, and it seems like the side bolsters on the seats may be a little too tight, even when adjusted way out. I am not huge or overweight, about 6'2" 195lbs, but it's almost uncomfortable. Am I missing and adjustment, or is the idea to feel tight in the seats?

I'm 6'1 215 pounds. I found the seats snug when it was new. I couldn't say for sure weather the seats broke in or I got used to them. They are meant to be snug however. So unless you have a massive torso. You should be used to or loving it soon. I find them some of the most comfortable seats I've riden in.

Yes they are snug, but at least they are soft and not hard. You'll grow to love the feel of them and miss them when you drive other cars. At least I do.

On my early 04, one thing I don't like is that the seat doesn't go down far enough. They did fix this on the 05's though.

I agree, the seats are kind of small but when I'm cornering, I like sides to hug tight.

The "smallish" seats were a big selling point for me. The snugness is supportive and feels right to me. My 2002 M5 was a wonderful car but the seats were big enough for two.
