Re:

We have done numerous 19s on E55s, even in NYC...take a look at our customer gallery

These are 19x9 and 19x10 HRE 540Rs that we did on a 2002 E55 (car belongs to member JamE55)

19" E55 wheels

I purchased Carlsson 2/5 Brilliant wheels for my 2002 E55 as follows: 19 x 8 with 245/35ZR19 BS S-03 for the front and 19 x 10 with 285/30ZR19 BS S-03 tires for the rear. They are beautiful wheels but the rear mounting bolts were too long and the offset spacers had to be machined 7mm thinner to prevent wheel to fender contact on rough road surfaces. By the way, they provide great traction for drag racing at 37psi.
I am not a real experienced driver and was able to post a 1.991 60 foot time with an ET of 12.263 at my local dragstrip.
UPDATE: 10-30-02 Recently had cooler weather and made a trip to No Problem Raceway for test and tune. First run with 33.5 psi in rear tires produced 1.969 60 ft. time, 12.232 ET @ 116.78 MPH. Second run in other lane produced 1.967 60 ft. time, 12.230 ET @ 116.58 MPH. Noticed all the discussion on M-B owners websites about aftermarket superchargers, HP, 0-60 times, etc. Yet to see anyone post actual times to compare to my 2002 RENNtech E55K. Somebody prove something, please!
[8D]UPDATE: 11-13-02 Attended Wednesday night test and tune at No Problem Raceway with my buddy and his new C32 AMG. He did well (13.6 @ 104mph) but was no match for my 12.143 @ 117mph on my Bridgestone S-03 street tires. I have time slips and video to prove my runs. Also followed up with runs of 12.161 and 12.163. I am waiting for someone with the other aftermarket superchargers (HPS, KLEEMAN) to post something comparable.

NYC roads are not even ready for 18's yet. You have to be extra careful in NYC especially when riding on 19's. Our city is famous for it's pot holes. Its OK to have 19's but get familiar with the roads or routes and don't race up a street you never been on. I live and work in NYC and I have customers who come back and order new rims sometimes because they werent careful. good luck =)
