Is it necessary to change the ESP program when fitting 18X9 rear and 18X8 front AMG wheels to a 1998 E430? I have these with P7000s and on low speed right hand turns the ESP operates briefly with cold tyres. Also what is recommended tyre pressure for this set-up? Thanks.

Re: SITH THE RIGHT TIRE SIZE, you should have no problems....245/40/18 & 275/35/18........more

Thanks Gaston,
I have 235/40 ZR18 91Y on the front and 265/35 ZR18 93Y on the rear which is correct according to the owner's manual. Interesting you say 245 and 275. I'm in Australia but thought the specs would be the same for US. I'm currently running 33 psi all round. I might try a couple more psi in the rear.

BAZ;

I JUST ORDERED A SET OF HRE 540 WHEELS FOR MY C320. BECAUSE I WANTED A NO HASSLE FIT, THE SIZES I'VE HAD CUSTOM FITTED ARE 19 X 8.0 [235/35/19] FRONT, 19 X 9.5 [265/30/19] REARS. MY ORIGINAL CHOICE WAS THE LOWENHART BS5 SUPER CRYSTAL, OR THE LORINSER LM5. I CHOSE NEITHER BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO ROLL MY FENDERS. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS A SET OF SPRINGS. I'M SURE EIBACH HAS THEM, BUT THEIR WEBSITE IS OUTDATED...ANYWAYS, JUNE 14TH IS MY PICKUP DATE. I CAN'T WAIT!!! MY BEST FRIEND HAS A SET OF THEM IN 20'S ON A LINCOLN LS, WITH 10.5 INCH WIDE IN THE REARS! HE'S RUNNING A 275 SIZE TYRE. GOOD LUCK,

ROB
