Even if you got the car for free, wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy another e320 wagon in good condition?

You probably want the w210 forum but rock auto should have some of your body panels:

I have not used this vendor before but I saved the link when I came across it some time back. Something to look into:

Mercedes - W210 Chassis - KlokkerholmUSA

There was a way to search junkyards. I used the site to find a hood for a w208 a couple of years ago. It may be this one but I am not sure:

You can also post WTB on the sale forum. Maybe some members here will have parts you can use. Do not forget to include the color or color code of your vehicle. It will make this process less of a headache for you.

it may be but i would have no idea how reliable that car would be...i know in advance what i own and have and if i had to spend 15k to replace the sheet metal...etc it would be half the price of a current 2013-2015 E wagon. Service connected disabled USA Veteran here so funds are ridiculously low

Does sound like you need to try the W210 part of the forum.
This is an older S class bit. (W126)
Glad you got some good help though :)

On the top toolbar, click 'Forums' and scroll down the index to W210, the chassis of your car. You posted on the W126.

Or buy a clean one that needs mechanical work. I got this rust free wagon in need of a transmission connector and a TCM cleaning for less than the cost of used doors and hatch. Add the cost of getting it to you and your time to move the drivetrain and suspension and you might still be ahead.

i frequent the type of junkyard where you can take the parts you want - the brand name locally is 'pull-a-part' ... pullapart.com. they don;t show the car, nor do they show much detail other than a year/make/model - additionally, sometimes the cars are not labeled correctly. however, the part that are left are dirt cheap. required your labor and tools. their website has a halfway decent search engine. while w210s are not in great inventory, generally the cars found there are mostly worn interiors and sometimes front end damage. a great number of body panels are perfectly fine.

i have rebuilt a couple of toyotas, a honda, and a mustang for very cheap ... the latest, a 96 mustang in a pretty bad front end wreck - replaced almost all the front end including radiator and ac condenser for under $200. good luck.

i have a 98 sedan i am dismantling due to a serious rear end wreck - the rest of the car is decent to perfect. let me know what you need ...

of course, wagons are very infrequently found locally.
