I have a 1996 e320, one owner, 132k original miles.

I have been wondering if the updated machines, 2000 w210 +, have a better suspension and ride quality than a 1996 w210?

Thoughts?

Same exact suspension setup.

The updates were mostly cosmetic, with transition from pre-CANBUS to a fully CANBUS electronics, new engine and transmission, and a little bit QOL improvements here and there...but the vehicle is largely identical underneath.

I would upgrade just for the transmission. I am numb to differences between I-6 and V6. Maybe the M104 revs more freely but the M112 performs well enough for me.
