Alternator E220D

Hello,

so the alternator broke on my car E220D, anyone know what type to get and where?

I'm looking into buying from europe / britain and import to Norway. (Ebay preferred, or other shops online that accept shipping to norway or with jetcarrier from USA)

If you guys need any more information, please reply with what.

Corrected it to alternator, thanks!

I'm not sure, I'm not to good with cars.

How do I know for sure it's the regulator??

Also there was some black smoke, which usually means something bad, so I think it's the alternator.

What are the symptoms? Voltage regulator is the culprit about 90% of the time and cheap to replace.
Don't know what alternator you have, but I checked them for my diesel and the rebuild was $450. The best price on ebay over $300.
Not cheap comparing that for gasser you can buy a new alternator for $250
