The heat pad under the hood is falling off. It looks really ugly. I am thinking about replace the heat pad with Dynamat Hoodliner. Anybody has any experience with the product?

You do know the dealer sells replacement pads, right? Not at all expensive, and original. Run a search, there's lots of threads on pad R & R.

Yes, I search the forum and find the link to original pad. It's about $130-150. The Dynamat is about $70 (12 sq feet). I wonder if Dynamat provides better heat and sound shield.

No, and it's a lot heavier and will cause your hood to drop on your head. Get a fiber insulation pad - they cost about $80 on ebay - and install it.

I may have to get some of that and try it out.
Scott, it's not the same material that's used on doors and interior panels. It's foam and not heavy at all.
