I know this should be a simple job, but I can't seem to get the "claws" to grab. As soon as I slide the handle over the claw it comes loose. Is there a trick I am missing? All my slots appear to be properly clear.

My Dura-Levers came with an a Allen/hex wrench & set screw.

Set the 2 arm claw in position & tighten the set screw into the hole.

Maybe you've got it upside down?

I get it into place correctly, but the claws seem like they just don't have enough material on them to grab well. I think I might have to shave the edge of the claw a bit to make the surface where it needs to catch more pronounced.

NOTE:

For upper rotor plates, tooth portions of slide clamp are faced upward;

and for lower rotor plates, slide clamp teeth face downward.

Also:
For upper plates, recessed portion of arm faces downwards
and for lower plates, recessed portion of arm faces upward.

I get them on and tighten them down with the set screw, but the claws just slide right off the plate and the whole thing pulls out in my hand.
