I don't see a button anywhere...
On the top of your back support, where the 2 headrest chrome rods slide into the plastic guide; on the edge of this plastic piece, there is a side compression-style button. Look hard.I don't see a button anywhere...
TrueIt should lift up without pushing any buttons. You only need to push the button catch to lower it.
“How many mechanics do you need to change a spark plug!!!”lol
Are you talking about this? After playing around with it, trying to flip it open or get it to move, I still can't seem to adjust or remove the headrests...On the top of your back support, where the 2 headrest chrome rods slide into the plastic guide; on the edge of this plastic piece, there is a side compression-style button. Your button looks to be stuck in the "in" position. which means the headrest should be free to move. Try pushing up and down rapidly on the rest to see if it pops out. Otherwise it may be broken. What about the other rests? Are you talking about this? After playing around with it, trying to flip it open or get it to move, I still can't seem to adjust or remove the headrests...
Lack of muscles, these chrome rods are a tight friction fit.The posters button appears to be in so the head rest should move. If I am reading him right seems he can’t get it to move up or down regardless of what he does to it.
That’s why I was wondering about the other 4 rests.
True to that is why I stated a month ago i often kneel in the seat backwards and grab with two hands to pull up or push down.Lack of muscles, these chrome rods are a tight friction fit.
The metal clip inside the catch mechanism is out of place, causing the jammed head restraint. After playing around with it, trying to flip it open or get it to move, I still can't seem to adjust or remove the headrests...
I've had exactly the same problem on my ML430.The posters button appears to be in so the head rest should move. If I am reading him right seems he can’t get it to move up or down regardless of what he does to it.
