I am planning on lowering my SLK sometime soon. I am looking at H&R and Eibach. The H&R run about $265 and the Eibach are $280. Which springs do you guys perfer? and anyone know where I could possibly get them for cheaper.

I searched for a long time and asked the same questions. The cheapest place to get them is ebay or if your lucky and a member here has a set cheap.

What size are your wheels?
Do you plan on running OEM shocks?

You might want to think about changing them out.
Thats why its just as good to use coilovers.
Fully adjustable too. You could probably drop it about 3 inches.

all of my cars have been dropped except for the slk. i think my stock shims must be next to nothing bc the stock stance on mine is pretty good. anyway, another vote for h&r. i find them cheapest on ebay as well. i had a 2004 acura tsx with 19s and an eibach pro kit which is not even their lowest drop option and the ride was horrific. just throwing that out there.

not really, if its just a daily drive its just fine, but ofcourse its always better if you change your shocks to a more progressive one:)
