interior drivers side mirror light not lighting & its not the bulb

I went to open the mirror on my c240 and the light wasnt lighting, i tried on the passenger side, and no problems. So i went to autozone and bought the same watts, volts bulbs. I replaced it, still no light. So i took the housing on the ceiling off with the good bulb off the passenger side and put it into the drivers side and no light. What do you guys think fuse, but if it is a fuse wouldnt other things be effected... actually my cigarette lighter was stuck down and wouldnt pop up the dealer said it was a fuse and replaced it at no charge, that was several days ago. Any ideas of what it may be? a fuse, if so is the fuse in the trunk location or the one by the dash/parking brake release? Thanks for the help!

i have a c230 kompressor and i know for sure that the lights don't have fuses they are computer controlled ('electronic' as said by the fuse manual paper thing) i had a problem with my license plate lights, turned out my whole fuse box in the rear, also known as SAM, needed to be replaced
