Driver side parking lights not coming on - fuse checks okay

Everyone,

Not sure if this is a common problem or not. Last night I came home and I had left the parking lights on getting out of the car and noticed only the passenger side were illuminated. I got back into the car and tested the blinkers (same bulbs) and both the front and the back are fine. If I turn all the lights on I don't think those parking lights are on - but I checked that this AM in the daylight and can't say for sure.

The fuses are all fine.

Where else should I check?

Mine has similar intermittent issue and usually a nice and gentle tap on the headlight fixes the issue.

It appears that the bulb is a bit loose, hence no constant proper contact, so I need check into that some time soon. Hasn't hit high enough on my priority list yet. I've just been so happy to get the low beams finally working. Haha...

sometime this spring, disconnect your negative cable from the battery and put a wrag around it. Then, get a can of electrical cleaner and gently go around the plugs in the engine bay, like the lights and stuff, and spray some electrical cleaner in there. Then clean the male ends of the connections with a wire brush or some gentle sand paper. Apply some dielectric grease and seat. I do this once a year, along with the relays in the fuse box, firewall etc. If it is in the engine bay it is subjected to dirt, water, humidity, heat extremes, vibration and grease. Just an afternoon of work, but worth it in the end.

Come up with a schedule to do this, as well as the fuse box and perhaps lubrication of hinges, window regulators, cables, seat tracks and sunroof. Some switches too like seat adjustments, stalk on combination switch, etc.

Just a thought.

Your parkers and indicators are independent to each other, therefore activating the indicators won`t tell you if the parkers are working.
Silly question but, are you sure you didn`t have the switch on anti-clockwise, in the single parker mode?

Cheers,

Mick.

As mentioned above, be sure to read the owner's manual. There are settings on the headlight switch to just turn on the right side lights or left side lights or all! (Counterclockwise as opposed to clockwise.)

I like to park in front of a store's windows where I can see the car's (and lights) reflection, then test the lights. I back in and look in the rear-view mirror to check the back lights.
