Hello All-

I am replacing the master vacuum valve on my 78 300d. I put the new one in and am having a problem with the locking mechanism, not a vacuum problem.

The outside and outside door handles work and the door will open and shut fine. But I cannot push the door lock down at all even with the vacuum valve linkage disconnected, it seems jammed on something. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Bill

You know you can only lock/push that button down with the door closed, right? It's a safety check so you don't lock yourself out of the vehicle, thereby insuring you are either in the car, and want the doors locked, or you are locking your car from outside, and have the key in your possession.
