Well I had a gas cap go bad two days ago. The light came on and I read the code as small evap leak.
I was past emissions date by 5 days and they are looking to write tickets here for expired cars so I got the new cap and cleared the codes.
Of course the tank was full, but I followed all the guidelines and kept it within
50mph, and the readiness for Evap never completed, but they passed me and I got a new sticker and renewed registration.
I was able to accomplish setting everything within 18 miles and about 45 minutes, but I had to be methodical about it. It turns out like other states there is some forgiveness about how many and which items have to be set to a ready status, but I passed.
The place doing the testing did not know exactly the numbers, but admitted he has seen them pass in Wisconsin with more than to items that did not have a ready status.
