Anyone have an idea where to find the problem of doors not automatically locking when shifting into drive and moving forward?
(The doors lock and unlock normal with key as well as dash switch.)
Thanks.

From my WIS for W208:

Locking the vehicle automatically via central locking when driving > 15mph.

Automatic locking must not be deactivated with the interior CL switch (S6s1) - or by HHT (in workshop)

Where can I physically find the interior CL switch (S6/1s2)?

Thanks for your help.

With the automatic central locking system activated, the
doors and trunk are locked at vehicle speeds of approx.
9 mph (15 km/h) or more. The fuel filler flap remains
unlocked.
To activate:
With electronic key in steering lock position 2 hold
upper portion of switch(1 ) for a minimum of 5 seconds.
To deactivate:
With electronic key in steering lock position 2 hold
lower portion of switch(2 ) for a minimum of 5 seconds.

Nice Keyhole,

The PDF's are grand. The Central locking system operates on vacuum and pneumatics. There is a centralized servo accumulator for different scenarios as well.
These systems are locally controlled and I would check the basics first.

1st failing actuator, gage readings for both and conclude. Most reports are tubing failure in high traffic areas like the seats and trunk., door jamb etc....

Good luck with the diagnostics as these are a real bear to chase.

Cheers, Mike

Yes, this actually worked...

"To activate:
With electronic key in steering lock position 2 hold
upper portion of switch(1 ) for a minimum of 5 seconds."

Now the doors automatically lock again when rolling in drive.

Thanks keyhole, and tom!
