a while ago there was a thread on this topic<br>
i was just wondering if u are talking about the plastic in the corner of the door where the controll for the wing mirrors are or something else.<br>
and how do they become disfigured?<br>

They are talking about the plastic covers that are the same color as the upholstery, covering the painted metal frame around the window. I just bought a '79 280E on which they are all distorted. The car came from Miami; I guess it's a heat-related problem.

I had the same problem with the covers around my doors in my 1981 240d. They looked like they were krinkled up . I ordered and bought a new set from a Mercedes dealer. Three months later the new ones had done the same thing. I finally just gave up,the painted trim does not look that bad.<br>
