Good comparison pictures of the old vs. new. I think they are a fantastic product. The outside shapes and size is almost identical.
Last pictures show the gasket sealer installed in the unused wire harness screw hole and new cut wire hole. Gasket sealer. Just a little.

All finished. An easy do-it-yourself job. Start to finish I have 35 minutes invested in changing both sides, including tools put away and clean up.
(I recommend having the blinker on so you can make sure the light works when you reinstall the housing cover.)

Nice job, and nice writeup. Thanks for the legwork and taking the time to document it.

If you don't mind, please update us over time as to how well they wear. The originals must be the same supplier that provided the bad harmonic balancers...URO, maybe? :D

2 weeks with the new gaskets/seals. No problems at all. The noise level at the driver's side door mirror is gone. The rubber looks great. I am very satisfied with this product.

Hey folks!

Looking to get some of these, too.

but....

•E class W210 1995~1999

♦ Includes left and right

♦ Does not fit W210 E-class 1999~2000.

I have a 1999 E320, but not sure which side of the "1999 Fence" I'm on
I'm not sure which ones to get ;[

Thanks!

I would think that your '99 will be pre-facelift, so the same as the '95-98 cars, this should work for you. I've got a '99 as well, and I need to grab a set of these myself.

October 15, 2016 update: l see no deterioration on this gasket. I am still very happy with this DIY item.

Years later, the fellow in Taiwan still offers gaskets for the facelifted W210. I just installed the passenger side (my driver's side is still OK). Easy following the instructions here. I'll save the left side for later.
As before, there are no part numbers-I think these are done with a laser printer, then finished off with a grinder of some sort. The fit is pretty good, especially after a couple of weeks of hot Arizona sun softens them up.

I'm confident I too can recommend the part. If you are keeping your car, do it.
