I've replaced about 10 of these in the last couple years. Piece of cake, no need to be scared. A few screws, some trim plastic thingys, and three bolts, you're golden. Chances are you'll find a steel ball or two in the bottom of the door from where they've fallen out of the track in the door check itself.
