I just had to replace the head unit in my 2000 E320 Wagon. It just died on me and I have no idea why. I did verify that it wasn't a fuse issue (either in the back of the radio or in the fuse box under the seat). So I replaced it with one I found on eBay, which is now working perfectly in the car.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a company that refurbishes these things for sale. Perhaps they'd be interested in buying it to fix and then sell again.

I would ebay it. Someone would buy it for the parts or for the aesthetics if there's is in poor shape.
