Not sure what an "SI." And since your cab has one, what exactly are you trying to replace? Pictures, please.

I believe he is referring to SL. Just forgot to capitalize the L.

And I believe the answer to the question is no.

yes, sorry, I meant SL. Thought I read somewhere that the SL and E Cab shared some parts to keep costs down, thought the third light might've been one of those parts, the one in the middle of the trunk, the CHMSL.

Surprise to me As quite a few of them seem to have the it built into the trunk lid, not just placed on top of it.

Then again, I'm no R129 expert, so I will have to stand corrected.

All USA version of 124 cabriolets and R129 have third brake light incorporated into trunk. Earlier R107 SL from 1972-1989 had third light on top of trunk. Euro 124 cabriolets had no third brake light at all as it was not a law required thing. Some late imports (gray market cars) w124 cabriolets in usa had third brake light installed on top of trunk to pass usa inspection
