What I mean is that i ordered a key. They say that they need to initialize the key to make it work. I was under the impression that when you ordered a key you could just pick it up from the dealer and use it. I think this is a 50 dollar gimic for them to pair the keys to the car.

No programming necessary

You don't have to pay the extra hour to get them to program it. The keys are custom cut and programmed in Toronto (if you are in Canada). Usually takes about a week to get it down at a cost of $120.00. Only the older switch blade style keys need to be programmed.

Yes, unless you have a SDS.
